These wide linen trousers for women fall straight down from a high waist and then flare out into wide, softly draping legs. How to wear it

With a white T-shirt half tucked in and leather flip-flops, you'll have a polished summer look in two minutes. Tuck in a fine-knit top and add a slim belt, and the trousers are instantly office- or lunch-ready. In the evening, a silk cami with heeled sandals works well – the wide leg falls nicely over the shoe. For the beach, a loose linen shirt worn open over them is enough.

With this wide leg, it's best to choose a shoe with a small heel or a thicker sole: the trousers are cut long, and this is how they fall best.

Size and fit

The trousers fall loosely from the hip but fit neatly at the waist. If you're between two sizes at the waist, choose the larger size: you'll get the width in the legs either way, and the waistband gives little. The legs are on the longer side, which suits this style; you can have them taken up if you're under 1.65 m and wear flat shoes.

Care

Wash the trousers at 30 °C with similar colours and do not use bleach. Linen blend naturally creases – that's part of the fabric. Hang the trousers up right after washing, and most creases will drop out on their own. You can iron on a medium setting, preferably slightly damp or on the inside.
