On the chest of this dachshund hoodie sits an embroidered dog that you can spot from a metre away. It's not a print but chenille embroidery: thick, soft loops that stand a few millimetres above the fabric, like a terry cloth patch. The dachshund is caramel-coloured with dark brown ears and paws, wears a blue and beige striped jumper with three dark red bows, and has a red apple with a green leaf on its head.

The rest of the hoodie stays deliberately calm, so the embroidery does the talking. Plain, mottled sweater fabric, a double hood, a full-width kangaroo pocket and ribbed cuffs at the sleeves and hem. How to wear it

This is a hoodie for the days you don't want to think about your outfit. Over wide-leg jeans with trainers it's a complete look, and because it's cut generously, you can layer a long-sleeve top or thin shirt underneath in winter. With joggers in the same colour family it becomes a set for lounging at home or on the train. If you'd rather dress it up a bit, straight trousers with loafers work surprisingly well: the embroidery keeps the look playful while the rest stays neat. Colours and sizes

The hoodie comes in three colours: bright white, mottled light grey and deep navy. All three carry exactly the same embroidery, so the dachshund stands out lightest on the white version and strongest on the navy one. Available in sizes S, M, L and XL.

Size and fit

Please note: this is a distinctly relaxed style. Chest width starts at 109 cm in size S and goes up to 133 cm in XL, while the length stays between 76 and 79 cm and the sleeve length between 50 and 58 cm. This means that even size S already fits loosely. If you want the loose, oversized look from the photos, go for your usual size. Care

Turn the hoodie inside out before washing it, so the chenille loops don't rub against the drum. Wash it on a cold to lukewarm cycle with similar colours and don't use bleach. Let the hoodie dry hanging or lying flat instead of in the dryer, as warm air flattens the embroidery. If you do need to remove a crease, iron only around the embroidery and never on top of it. If the loops look a bit flat after a wash, they'll bounce back if you gently run your finger through them.
