This women's teddy gilet is made from thick, curly teddy fabric and has no sleeves. Your body stays warm, your arms move freely, and there are no double sleeves bunching up under a coat. The shape is short and boxy, with a V-neck and press studs down the front. Wear it open over a T-shirt or fastened over a roll-neck jumper.

The fit

The gilet hangs loose and straight, with no shaping at the waist. The shoulders are extended and sit just past your own, so the armholes are roomy and even a jumper with thick sleeves fits underneath. It finishes at the hip, with rounded corners at the front. Because it is short, it looks great over high-waisted jeans or trousers.

Which size to choose

The size chart on this page shows the bust, shoulder width and length of each size in centimetres. The length runs from 59 cm in XS to 64 cm in the largest size, so the gilet stays short in every size. The cut is roomy. If you are between two sizes, look mainly at the bust: if you want to wear a chunky jumper underneath, choose the larger size.

How to wear it

With a white T-shirt and wide-leg jeans, you have an easy autumn outfit in seconds. Add a roll-neck underneath and you can keep wearing it when the weather turns colder. The neutral shades go with almost everything in your wardrobe, while bright colours such as pink and yellow instantly lift a grey day. Under a long coat or trench, it adds a warm extra layer without tight sleeves.

Care

Wash the gilet inside out at 30 degrees on a delicate cycle and dry it flat. Do not use fabric softener or put it in the tumble dryer: this keeps the teddy curls soft and stops the fabric from matting.
