These smart men’s shoes feature a soft, matte suede look that makes a classic lace-up shoe feel a little more approachable. They are derby shoes: the eyelet facings lie loosely over the instep instead of being stitched underneath it. How to style them

Black and dark blue are the safe choices for the office, a wedding or a funeral: wear them with dark trousers and a shirt and you can’t go wrong. Coffee and brown work especially well with a sand or olive chino, and with a blazer worn without a tie. Gray and blue are the most casual shades of the six and look surprisingly good with dark jeans and a fine-knit sweater.

Size and fit

Please note: this style runs small. We recommend ordering one size larger than you normally wear. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger of the two.

The size chart on this page converts each size to foot length in centimeters, from 24 cm for size 38 to 29 cm for size 48. Ideally, measure your foot at the end of the day while standing and wearing the socks you plan to wear with the shoes, then compare the measurement with the chart. This is more accurate than relying on your usual size.

Care

Treat the upper with a protective spray suitable for suede and nubuck before wearing the shoes for the first time. Afterwards, brush the shoes regularly while dry with a soft suede brush, always in the same direction, so the nap stays smooth. Remove stains with a suede eraser, not with water and soap. Let wet shoes dry at room temperature, away from heaters, and use a shoe tree or scrunched-up paper to help maintain their shape. Do not machine wash.
