This knitted maternity dress is made for the photos you will want to look back on: a soft, slightly fluffy knit that falls gently over your bump, long sleeves and a wide fold-over collar that leaves your shoulders bare. The dress is ankle length and follows the line of your body without pulling anywhere.

How it fits

The knit stretches with you. Choose your usual size and the dress grows with you through the whole pregnancy, from the first curve to the last weeks. The fold-over collar sits loosely on the upper arms and can be worn a little higher or lower, whatever feels right. The sleeves are long and reach over the wrist. After the pregnancy, simply keep wearing it as a long knitted dress.

Which size to choose

The size chart gives the measurements of the dress itself. The bust is shown as a range: the first number unstretched, the second stretched, because the knit gives. Start from your bust measurement before pregnancy and pick the size whose range it falls in. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one so the dress still falls loosely in the final weeks.

How to wear it

For a maternity shoot or baby shower the dress is enough on its own, barefoot or with a fine sandal and a few pieces of jewellery. For dinner or a party, add a heel and a small bag. During the day, wear it with white trainers and a long cardigan or trench coat over it. White goes with gold and with soft tones like camel and beige, Apricot with cream and light brown.

Care

Wash the dress inside out at 30 degrees on a delicate cycle, or by hand. Do not tumble dry and do not hang it to dry: lay it flat so the knit does not stretch out. Remove small bobbles with a fabric comb.
